First, I'd like to say that I thought both AnnaSophia and Kelsey were charming as Samantha and Nellie.

The question I wanted to ask everyone though, is-- Which of the dresses that AG has not made was your favorite? I liked both the blue sailor style and the embroidered teal one. I would really like to see AG make both of those. We really didn't get to see Nellie in any nice clothes, except her Christmas dress-- and that was from quite a distance. I would have really liked to have seen AG do that in a nice taffeta rather than a fabric that looks so polyester.

Did anyone notice that Samantha's Buster Brown dress was in the film but not as her school dress?

Actually I'm surprised that the outfits were so downplayed. I mean, we only saw Nellie's new purple pj's for a second. Later on she had a plain old nightie. I figured that to boost doll clothing sales, they would really play up on the outfits.

I liked all of Samantha's clothes. I especially liked her school uniform. I like her old white sailor suit better. I thought the Christmas dress looked very red instead of cranberry colored.

I guess it is just a matter of opinion..I have Nellie's Christmas dress and it definetely doesn't look taffeta to me. I agree with you about the color combination. I just don't like it. I would have looked better in a soft green and rose perhaps? something that would better cooridinate with Samantha's dress.

I loved the dress that was white with a tiny blue floral print and the sheer collar...trying to think of the scene...but DD and I are watching it again since we taped it!!! LOL

    The outfits were all wonderful!!!

I would like to see Samantha's NY School dress and the Teal Middy dress. And also the one flowered dress that she sits on the bank of the river with Uncle Gard! I liked that one too!

I would also like to see a few more Nellie dresses! As Nellie's Meet dress was not in the film.

Nellies Pjs were also in the movie. In the school scene Nellie and all of the other girls wore uniforms so the Buster brown dress had to be used for something else. I agree with you those are the two nicest dresses . The royal blue sailor dress would be great for the Ravenscourt mystery.
Nellies Christmas dress is taffeta- it wouls have been more impressive in some other color combination.

Unfortunately my mom was late in picking me up, so I missed about half the movie. But I really liked what I did see and it's on again tomorrow so we'll (hopefully) get to tape it then.

But I loved all the clothes, especially this deep blue one that Samantha wore. I wish they'd make that, I loved it the minute I saw it!

I thought it was kind of nice that, while the movie showed outfits that are available for the dolls, they didn't try to completely make the movie into a 2 hour commercial for AG. I ordered Nellie for my daughter for Christmas, along with her Christmas dress (which I really like, whatever fabric it is made from) and since I thought she should have an outfit from before her adoption, when she was poor, I got Addy's work dress, which I absolutely love. It even has 2 clothes pins in the pocket, which is appropriate, since the first time Samantha and Nellie meet is when Nellie was hanging up laundry. It's not exactly like she was wearing in the book or movie, but close enough. I think the reason that she didn't wear her dotted swiss meet dress in the movie is because she was adopted at Christmas, and it's really more of a summer dress. And I thought Samantha's bridesmaid dress was just as hideous in the movie as in the catalog-and Nicki wants it! We also both loved the idea of the bridesmaids pulling ribbons and having a bag of rose petals cascading over the newly married couple. I don't know if it's something that they did in Victorian times, but Nicki says she wants to do it at her wedding someday.
